We are looking for Process Engineer - Cell Assembly to join our client in Norway.
Salary: up to around 60000-74000 EUR gross/year (negotiable, depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and optimize battery cell assembly processes to meet production targets while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
-Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process inefficiencies, defects, and deviations.
-Design and execute experiments to validate new process improvements, equipment upgrades, and technology advancements.
-Lead projects related to process optimization, equipment selection, and automation to increase productivity and reduce costs.
-Provide technical expertise and support to production operators and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations and troubleshooting of assembly equipment.
-Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in battery manufacturing to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
-Document procedures, process parameters, and equipment specifications to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and facilitate training activities.
Ideal candidate:
-4-5 yrs of experience in Li-ion battery industry (preferably in battery cell assembly or related industries such as energy storage or electronics manufacturing)
-Strong understanding of battery chemistry, cell manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
-Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
-Proficiency in process optimization methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Design of Experiments (DoE).
-Hands-on experience with process simulation software, CAD tools, and statistical analysis tools.
-Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
