Process Engineer - Electrode
Location: Norway, Arendal
Salary: up to around 60000-74000 EUR gross/year (negotiable, depending on experience)
Our client is a company founded in 2020, in 2024 they will open the first battery cell factory in Arendal, in Southern Norway. Starting 2028, the company will produce 43 gigawatt hours annually. The company is fully European owned and deeply embedded in European R&D and industrial networks.
Responsibilities:
- Start-up and optimize relevant manufacturing processes within Electrode such as: Mixing, Coating, Press/slitting
- Review quality loss data by process step, identify top losses and conduct deep root cause analysis of top losses.
- Lead process improvement activities to address top losses
- Assist on start-up of equipment and ramp-up of production to reach targets for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for each process.
- Perform disciplined process engineering studies, process verification, identify CTQ's, understand and reduce variations and perform DOEs to define optimum process settings.
- Work closely with both product development and production team to continuously improve current processes, develop new processes, and define quality metrics and product / process validation requirements.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services based on manufacturers instructions and established procedures and maintain a strong commitment to safety and ensure that processes comply with safety regulations.
